As part of the MAMBA project activities, Dr. Martín Alurralde carried out a scientific stay in Spain, strengthening collaboration between partner institutions and promoting knowledge exchange in the field of space solar energy technologies.
Visit to ESA SPASOLAB
Thanks to the support and coordination of Dr. Ignacio Rey-Stoller, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the ESA SPASOLAB facilities. The visit provided an excellent occasion to discuss ongoing research activities and explore future collaboration opportunities in the area of photovoltaic technologies for space applications.
Seminar at the Instituto de Energía Solar (IES-UPM)
During the stay, a seminar was held at the Instituto de Energía Solar of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where the Department of Solar Energy of CNEA and its main research lines were presented.
The programme included:
- Presentation by Dr. Martín Alurralde.
- Introduction of the speakers by Dr. Ignacio Rey-Stoller.
- Presentation by Dr. Díaz Salazar.
- Presentation by Dr. Moreno.
- The event encouraged scientific discussion and the exchange of ideas among researchers working in the field of advanced photovoltaic technologies.
Irradiation experiments at CMAM-UAM
Another important activity of the stay was the irradiation campaign carried out at the Centro de Micro-Análisis de Materiales (CMAM-UAM). The experiments were monitored from the control room and involved close collaboration between the participating researchers and the accelerator operators.
The campaign included the participation of Dr. Alurralde, Dra. Del Grosso, Dr. S. Kumar and the CMAM technical staff, contributing to the experimental work developed within the MAMBA project.
These activities highlight the importance of international scientific cooperation and researcher mobility promoted by the MAMBA project, fostering the exchange of expertise and the development of innovative solutions for future space energy applications.
